Annapolis weather is making a slow but definite shift towards Spring. Snow is melting, temperatures are rising (slowly) and if you listen carefully you will hear birds in the morning. That is all good news! Spring brings blooms, time outdoors, and crab season but also a lot of work; Mulch installations, fertilizer, pre-emergent weed control and mowing are all on the horizon.

Professional Fertilizer Applicator license arrived at Jon's Lawns of Annapolis today.

Maryland instituted new laws starting October 1, 2013 to ensure that anybody applying fertilizer in the state of Maryland does so in a way that is both healthy for the lawn and healthy for surrounding waterways including the Chesapeake Bay.  http://mda.maryland.gov/Pages/fertilizer.aspx
